Medivh had woken up the following day after the best rest he could recall having in a long time. After gathering their things and making sure the wards were satisfactory, they had teleported from Karazhan to arrive in Goldshire within a short travelling distance from Stormwind. Medivh was content to remain incognito in raven form, while Khadgar secured a room so they could wash their clothes and bathe. Only behind closed doors did Medivh resume his true form.
Nothing was spoken of about the night before - at least Khadgar didn't say anything, and so Medivh followed suit and didn't mention anything either. Of course it was on his mind among a myriad of other things. There was lots to consider and think about as well as reflect on.
After they and their clothes were clean, they broke their fast on simple fare before leaving to head to Stormwind. Medivh turned back into a raven for the short trip, perching on Khadgar's shoulder and simply observing. Remembering. Even during periods in his human form, the Magus was very quiet and introspective. Distracted by thoughts of years long ago.
Arriving at the gates of the city, Medivh's feathers ruffled as Khadgar's words cut through his thoughts. The raven blinked an intelligent eye in the Archmage's direction, communicating mentally for convenience with a simple spell. If he could have, he probably would have twisted his expression into one of distaste, but as a raven, his expressions were limited.
:I am aware of enough..: The Magus responded cryptically. Upon entering the gates, the statues came into view. They were hard to miss. :Hrm. Not a horrible likeness. A beard like that doesn't suit you though. Unshaven is better.: A long white beard suited someone more like the late Antonidas - not Khadgar.
