Llane would never consider that his queen, love of his life, Taria, is turning a blind eye. He's not sure why she's never stopped them before and Llane can admit that sometimes he asks her. Every time, she gives him this slight brow quirk, a soft smile and a pet directly on his cheek, it never fails to send a surge of love through him. She is the moon in the sky and that is why he counts himself so lucky.
Lothar, well, he knows he needs Lothar like one needs ground to stand firmly on or maybe just a simple cane to lean on. He is there when Llane needs that and that is why when Anduin showed his face suddenly, where he had been expecting Taria to come bother him to return to bed and not pour over the war table, he jolted and then laughed under his breath. Of course his wife sent him Lothar when he couldn't think of anything but protecting his lands, his people and instead went to visit Garona in the dungeons.
This would be more subtle if he wasn't completely aware of what it meant to have Lothar standing before him and not his wonderful wife. She was concerned and knew it would be something that she could not truly soothe. Ergo, she sent the one who could make a better attempt at it.
He didn't mind at all, really, though he still boggled that apparently he needed two people to handle him when most only needed one.
"I could use another eye on attempting to rearrange our troops for optimal defense," he suggested, though he hoped to make it clear that Taria had sent him here and Llane had not sent for him, "if you'd not mind, Anduin."
