With all the heightened emotion in the quiet moment between them, Medivh actually shuddered with a soft intake of breath when Khadgar moved close and tucked his head into his neck. It was almost like lightning had shot through his system. They had never shared such moments like this in the past. Sargeras made that impossible. There was always affection for him, there was no doubt about that. Affection and trust. But it never transcended into anything like this before.
Before he even realized it, he had gripped the Archmage tighter. This was so tender. So intimate. Such things he rarely got to experience. It hit the Magus then just how intimate it really was. This was more like the actions of lovers, not mentor and student or even close friends. Medivh had been too entrenched in duty to take a lover - accepting the fact that such a life was not for him. Plus it would be too dangerous for a partner to be with him. But that didn't mean that there were times that his body didn't want it. Even now, of its own accord, his body stirred. Thankfully due to the negative emotions that had clouded the moments previous - it wasn't as...bothersome. But it was enough to get Medivh thinking.
What is happening? What does this mean?
Ultimately - Medivh didn't feel any averse emotion about this. It would be something he'd have to process and think about. Feel it out. But it was something he was starting to realize had been always there. Though unregistered.
The thoughts about all this and the physical contact did much to calm him, and he was able to compose himself after a companionable silence. Though his heart thundered in his ribs and well....his body was somewhat confused as to what was happening. Should he....act on it? Or wait and emotionally regroup. Emotions were high for both of them and the Magus was not certain if acting on any spontaneous urges was wise. But...the thought was there.
He sighed softly, breath brushing at Khadgar's hair as he rubbed at the other mage's back slightly in a brief affectionate gesture. "Khadgar..." He murmured close to his ear - voice more felt than heard. There was so much to say, but he was not sure how to say it. It wasn't just what was happening between them now but....everything. "Perhaps we should move back to the couch. I don't think resting standing up would be comfortable." His tones were gently teasing. He didn't want to part from the Archmage - at at least wanted to convey that he was okay with this. It was just....all the other changes to Azeroth and the campaign against the Legion that hung over his shoulders like a cloud.
Khadgar was the constant. That rock that held everything in place. Trustworthy, courageous, and compassionate. Medivh would always be grateful for just how much the Archmage made such a difference in his life.
