The words made all lingering tension flee from his body and he even looked up at Medivh with a soft curl of his lips as he planted his hands on his shoulders. However, he was not expecting to be pulled in for a hug and made a loud shocked noise as his face was pressed aginst the other's chest.

The Archmage stood frozen there for a few seconds before he released Atiesh from his grip, allowing the staff to clatter loudly against the floor and sink his arms around Medivh and hug him back.

It was really Medivh.

He couldn't help the way he pressed his face closer against the other mage or how he fisted one hand in the cloak. He didn't resist the embrace and even smiled brightly against him.

"There is so much I need to tell you," Khadgar murmured from where he was pressed, voice muffled and pleased.

It wouldn't be for another few moments that he realized that he had wanted this for years. How often did he wake up from a dream that involved Medivh doing something like this? Too often, especially when he found the days harder and harder to handle. Now, trapped within Medivh's arms, he was finally able to say he knew what it felt like.

"You will... I will need to return to Dalaran soon," the Archmage muttered, voice low and rough with emotions, belying how he wasn't ready to let go of Medivh in case he disappeared and was never to be found again, "you should come with me. Even if it is you simply staying as a raven. I do not think you should stay here alone."

What a weak way of saying that Khadgar simply didn't want to let Medivh out of his sight and couldn't shove his duties off like he would've been so pleased with if it had been any other time.

"Please, come with me."

He hadn't meant his voice to be more than imploring, but instead he had sounded like he was down right near begging Medivh to come with him for his own peace of mind. He tightened one hand around the fabric he had been clutching and shifted his head only slightly so his face wasn't so obscured by both feathers and fabric. Khadgar had to wonder if it was a foolish thing to ask of Medivh, or if it would be insulting or something akin to that.

Khadgar decided he did not care and peered up from where he had rested his cheek and simply watched Medivh.
